“ Excellent service, it was such a warm atmosphere! The food was delicious, I highly recommend it! Thank you to the lady who was so sweet and kind serving us! Your tarts and apple fritters are soooooo good!!! ”
“ Amazing breakfast and great atmosphere! Portion sizes were huge! We will definitely be back ”
“ After a 4-day business function in Niagara Falls, we wanted to find a breakfast place on the way to the airport that wasn’t going to break the bank account! We found this local gem on google map. When we entered the restaurant there was only one table left and we were excited because we knew it was going to be good! We ordered Greek omelettes and pancakes. VERY generous portions and we felt bad because none of us could finish our breakfasts! Highly recommend this “husband and wife” owned and operated business! But beware, get there early!! There was a lineup of people waiting for a table right after we sat down! To those individuals who gave reviews criticizing the prices, have you gone grocery shopping lately? Jeez! Reasonably priced for the value we received! We arrived with an appetite and left with a full tummy and a happy soul! ”
“ Always great, been coming since I was a kid. Great home cooked breakfast at a reasonable price. Friendly staff too ”
“ Nice place for breakfast. Wait staff is friendly , food good . GF option for toast and turkey sausage available. Funny signs on the wall and now each table has their own unique salt and pepper shakers. ”
“ Sunrise Cafe is a really great place to get a meal. We have only enjoyed lunches at the cafe but never hesitate to return. All the staff go out of their way for customers/diners. This is especially true of the cafe’s owner who is lots of fun, despite being super busy and very hardworking. What we like most about this little neighbourhood cafe is it’s absolutely unpretentious vibe while serving many homemade (from scratch) dishes. Great burgers, big homemade cabbage rolls and butter tarts! Recommend without hesitation. ”
“ If you are looking for a fantastic place for breakfast in St Catharines, sunrise Cafe is the place to go. The menu is extensive, with so many great options that there is something for everyone. The service is terrific and waitresses are very friendly, helpful, and cheerful (even in the face of being very busy). The place is very popular but we were very lucky, we were seated immediately. The food was well prepared, delicious, and beautifully presented. As you pay your bill at the register, you are greeted by hundreds of gorgeous buttertarts. They are becoming almost more famous for their butter tarts than their breakfasts, which is quite a feat. We picked up a box of 6 of their beautiful butter tarts for our #buttertartquest. Some flavour we chose: oreo, peanut butter chocolate, and much more. The price of meals is very reasonable, the food is exquisite, the service exceptional, and buttertarts....so beautiful and yummy. ”
“ My queen and I stopped by this spot because we were craving something home-cooked. I went with the soup and peameal on a Kaiser, while she had the sausage, eggs, and toast. The breakfast was absolutely delicious—nothing felt rushed or greasy, just good, honest cooking. What really made the experience special was the service. It felt like being at my grandparents’ place so welcoming, comfortable, and attentive. From the outside, it looks like a small spot, but there's surprisingly plenty of room inside. The real standout, though, was the desserts. All homemade by the owner, and you can taste the love in every bite. The butter tarts were out of this world, and the apple fritter which I honestly thought was a donut at first was fresh, sweet, and tasted like something you'd find at a county fair. Great job to the team. I'll definitely be back! ”
